Notes
This vine of Italian origins (precisely from Velletri - ROME), was obtained by Michele Palieri, who gave the name to it, by crossing the varieties Alphonse Lavallé and Red Malaga.
AMPELOGRAPHIC CHARACTERS
It is good a good look, big, pyramid – shaped or cylindrical, winged bunch with an average weight between 600-800gr; the grape is big enough, oval, with a consistent, pruinose peel of medium thickness, purple-black colour, a crisp, juicy and compact pulp with a neutral-sweet flavour.
CULTIVATION CHARACTERS
That’s a strong variety of vine and it adapts itself to big growing, and a not very long pruning. It can be kept easily and it is transport-resistant; it is a fairly good marketable product not only for the quality characters of the bunch but also for its good look.
PRODUCTION AND RIPENING
The production is good and constant, the grapes ripen during the first decade of September.
