Notes
The Regina is one of the most ancient and common varieties of table grapes, with
many local nicknames. It is called Pergolone in Abruzzo, Inzolia Imperiale in Sicily, Mennavacca Bianca in Apulia.
AMPELOGRAPHIC CHARACTERS
Large, long, pyramid-shaped or cylindrical bunches. The berry is large, elliptical, with a medium-thickness pruinous peel which becomes golden yellow at complete ripe.
The pulp is crisp, sweet with a neutral flavour.
CULTIVATION CHARACTERS
This vine has a good vigour and fertility (about 1,10); Vine moderately susceptible to drought conditions so, cold, clay and well-watered soils are preferable.
PRODUCTION AND RIPENING
The production is good about 15 Kg per vine.
The ripening is late: meddle of September.
