Notes
Its name probably derives from Villa Maestri in the district of Parma where it was initially diffused.
AMPELOGRAPHIC CHARACTERS
The bunch has medium size, with a prolonged, cylindrical-pyramidal form, generally with just one wing, and close grapes; the grape is small almost round shaped, blue-black coloured, the peel is blue-black, the pulp is fleshy, lightly juicy.
CULTIVATION CHARACTERS
It reacts well to the common diseases of vines, besides it resists to different climatic conditions.
PRODUCTION AND VINTAGE
The product is abundant and constant, it’s suitable to fruitful soils which increase vegetative strength. The ripening starts at the beginning of October.
WINE CHARACTERS
The wine you obtain has an intense colour, 12-13% of alcohol. Its taste is dry, tannic, quietly thick, with a good grade of acidity. |
