Notes
It is a vine coming from Tuscany that is spread all over Italy. Recently it diffused in the South and in the islands. The Sangiovese variety with other red wines represents one of the most famous wines of middle Italy like Chianti.
AMPELOGRAPHIC CHARACTERS
It has a medium-almost big cylindric almost compact bunch, a medium-big grape; it can be easily separated, it has a pruinose black-purple peel, a consistant sweet-acidity rose-coloured pulp.
CULTIVATION CHARACTERS
It’s a vine with strong shoots and medium internodes. It is suitable to different soils conditions, prefers not rich soils where it can give really good products. It requires dry climates (preferably hot climates) for a good maturity of grapes.
PRODUCTIONN AND VINTAGE
The production is abundant and constant; you must not exaggerate in the quantity of buds in order to obtain a good quality of the product. The maturity begins at the beginning of September.
WINE CHARACTERS
The colour of the wine is ruby, it has dry taste, sometimes slightly tannic; after drinking it, you keep a bitterish taste.
